Our new website is now live: a curated digital entrance into the world of the Embassy of the Free Mind. In our ongoing dedication to sharing knowledge, creating an online home that reflects our depth and identity has long been part of our mission.
We’re very proud to finally present our new website for the world to see!
Our website offers an interactive way to discover who we are, what we offer, and what we are building: across our programme, our partnerships, and the collection that sits at the heart of everything.
This is a digital space that does justice to our mission to make ancient wisdom available and accessible to everyone. People can now visit the Embassy of the Free Mind without necessarily having to travel to Amsterdam.
At the centre of this launch is something we are especially proud of: the Digital Collection section, which hosts the new online home of the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica (BPH). Powered by Source Library, our collection takes part in being the largest available collection of translated historical, primary sources ever assembled.
With more than 2,000 of about 28,000 titles now digitized, the digital collection will continue to grow as we scan and upload more of its treasures. While it already holds an extraordinary depth of wisdom, spanning Hermetic philosophy, alchemy, Kabbalah, Rosicrucianism, Sufism, mysticism, and more, we still have a long road ahead. This year, we aim to digitize at least another 2,000 books from our Core Collection (browse here).
Ensuring this knowledge is preserved and transmitted to the generations of today and tomorrow is one of our most important responsibilities. The Digital Collection is how we honour that.
The second phase of our website is already in development. We are building towards an online shop, wider access to our researchers’ publications and articles, an online academy drawing on livestream recordings and educational content, and improved Source Library integrations in both the Research and Collection parts of our website
If this resonates with you and you believe, as we do, that this knowledge deserves to travel further, we will wholly welcome your support. A donation at any level helps us bring these tools to life.
