The Embassy of the Free Mind brings together people who are curious, engaged, and committed to sharing ancient wisdom with a broad and diverse audience. We believe in collaboration, critical thinking, and the power of stories to inspire dialogue.
The Embassy of the Free Mind is always open to meet new volunteers. Volunteers are essential to our organization, bringing warmth, knowledge, and dedication to all we do. We are grateful to our café hosts, tour guides, gardeners, and many others.
An internship among iconic books, rare manuscripts, and the enduring ideas of great thinkers: does that sound like your calling? The Embassy of the Free Mind welcomes students who wish to gain professional or research experience in a place where history and ideas come alive. You can count on dedicated guidance and the space to grow.
Internships at the Embassy of the Free Mind must be part of a recognised study programme. Internships are full-time positions and are compensated. The duration ranges from three months to one year.
Our internship programme is built on diversity and openness, welcoming students from the Netherlands and around the world. EU citizens do not require a residence or work permit to intern in the Netherlands.
We are currently unable to support work permit applications for non-EU students.
At the moment, we have no open positions. We appreciate the many unsolicited applications we receive; however, to give each application the attention it deserves, we only consider applications for specific vacancies. Please keep an eye on this page for future opportunities.
Join us in preserving centuries of knowledge and fostering intellectual freedom. Complete this application to tell us about yourself and why you'd like to be part of our mission at the Embassy of the Free Mind.
Please note: only applications submitted in response to an open vacancy will be processed. We are unable to respond to unsolicited applications.
