The Embassy of the Free Mind was established in 2017.

It is the executive body and public-facing identity of Stichting het Wereldhart (Worldheart Foundation), founded in 2015 and recognized as a cultural ANBI foundation.

Governance Code & Objectives

Stichting het Wereldhart operates in accordance with the Cultural Governance Code, with a board consisting of three members, within the framework of the revised statutes of 2024. It is also a member of the Dutch Museum Association (Museumvereniging) and complies with its standards. Stichting het Wereldhart has a policy plan for 2025–2030.

Every year, we publish our annual financial statements and the required ANBI transparency report.

Stichting het Wereldhart

Founded in 2015, Stichting het Wereldhart is the umbrella foundation and a cultural ANBI (Public Benefit Organization). The foundation was established to safeguard both the collection and the monument in which it is housed.

Stichting het Wereldhart operates with a board consisting of Jons Hensel as Chair, Sander van't Noordende as Treasurer, and Leendert van Driel as Secretary.

Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica Logo

Stichting Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica

Founded in 1984, this foundation safeguards the unique book collection, the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica. The entire collection has been donated to Stichting het Wereldhart, which is the legal owner. The governing body of this foundation is Stichting het Wereldhart.

Stichting tot Behoud van het Monument Huis met de Hoofden

Founded in 2007, this foundation preserves the historic monument at Keizersgracht 123, known as the House with the Heads. The book collection is permanently housed and made publicly accessible. The museum Embassy of the Free Mind is located within this monument. The governing body of this foundation is Stichting het Wereldhart.
