Yin Yoga: The Wisdom of Your Body

'Ein kursse Erufnung', Johan Georg Gichtel, 1696.

How often do you slow down to listen to the silent language of your own body?

Experience a somatic practice in our garden, where philosophy and mindful movement meet.

Yin Yoga serves as a powerful path for inner alignment, melting away physical tension and energetic blockages to reveal deep, intuitive wisdom. This session focuses on the Metal Element, which in Traditional Chinese Medicine governs the Lung (Yin) and Large Intestine (Yang) meridians. Energetically, this element is an exploration of the delicate balance between taking in the new—inspiration and breath—and letting go of the old. In Hermetic philosophy, the breath (pneuma) is recognized as the spirit itself. By holding poses in stillness, we explore the relationship between inspiration and time, consciously releasing what no longer serves us.

Through a slow-paced, 60-minute sequence of floor-based postures, we will invite fresh inspiration and profound stillness within, specifically targeting the anatomy of the chest, shoulders, and arms.

About the Instructor

Gabriele Galassi is a Chartered Coaching Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a certified Yin Yoga instructor whose work focuses on the profound integration of mind and body. With an extensive background in evidence-based psychological frameworks, Gabriele specialises in using psychology to support personal development, wellbeing, and self-awareness.

His Yin Yoga practice offers a unique, holistic bridge between the analytical insights of contemporary coaching psychology and the somatic wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. By weaving thoughtful, thematic concepts through long-held, meditative postures, he creates a deeply reflective environment where practitioners can improve physical mobility, process emotional landscapes, and cultivate lasting inner stillness.
