One complements the other.
It is a perfect symbiosis. When we read, speech withdrawal (although most of us subvocalize) allows us to open doors of imagination and immerse in the world curated by each author. Not rocket science, you might say. Everyone knows this.
I invite you to take a breath and consider how many precious moments were curated for you by silence, and how influential it is in your daily life.
How often do you withdraw when you wish to solve a problem or prepare yourself for something important? What happens when you look up at a starry sky? What happens when you are about to kiss someone?
This is the magic of silence. It delivers moments of realization and gratitude that we often forget about in noisy spaces.
Silence is truth in most cases. It opens doors to another sacred language: breath.
This powerful duo can change your life very swiftly and point you in directions you were previously unaware of.
When you find yourself in the library or a bookstore, stay quiet, connect to your breath, slow it down, and ask for support.
It is going to guide your body towards the shelf and book that is meant to be previewed in this moment.
Do not get discouraged if this does not work at the first attempt.
It sometimes takes time for your inner world to acknowledge that you finally decided to pay attention to it, so there might be an inner conflict between mind, heart, and gut: who is deciding on the book?
The more you practice silence, the easier it becomes.
Do me a favor and go look in the mirror now.
Look into your own eyes. You might discover that the being that sees is different from the one that speaks, and it has a variety of ways it is able to communicate with you.
If you scan the shelves with books slowly, with your eyes but without focus, without reading authors or titles, your intuition will help you through the agency of that being.
Particular colors, thickness, fabric of the cover, its size — it all matters.
Books are alive, and they guide their authors and designers in the process of becoming, showing them how to dress and frame the content for the most appropriate result.
If you wish to know more about this subtle dance between the worlds of silence, books, and breath, join my lecture at the Embassy of the Free Mind on the 25th of June at 6.30 pm.
I am going to speak about two books by self-realized masters, Elisabeth Haich and Paramahansa Yogananda, and why they are considered living teachers.
Viviana is a Polish author and researcher based on Ibiza, Spain. Educated as a molecular biologist, she chose an entrepreneurial path instead for many years and lived in Qatar. From 2020, she has been based on Ibiza and dedicated her life to research in the field of consciousness.
All her writings are based on lived experiences, and her body and psyche serve as a laboratory.
She is studying under the guidance of Kriya Yoga teachers and is a curator for Kriya Research Institute.
She has her own YouTube channel called Reality Curator where she shares reflections and realisations from the path.
All her work is dedicated to The Invisibles in gratitude for their help in her recovery.
Her videos, books and courses are about the nature of reality, radical self-love, health and recovery, art and science of kriya yoga, the elements, parenting, wealth and gradual path towards the divine and surrender.
She’s a friend of the Embassy of Free Mind since 2023 and an apprentice to the body of hermetic teachings.
