In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover what becomes possible when AI meets the ancient source texts at the Embassy of the Free Mind. By summoning the magical humanism of the renaissance, you’ll gain new inspiration for manifesting your personal vision with AI. Whether you're continuing a project from a previous session or joining for the first time, all levels and backgrounds are welcome.
This time we will split into two groups: an advanced track focused on using Claude Code (the most powerful AI workhorse in the stable) and a beginner-friendly track focused on using a variety of web-based tools. Both are open to anyone interested and both will be super fun. But, Claude Code requires a bit of a leap of faith to “--dangerously-skip-permissions.” You do you!
This workshop is for Amsterdam's AI creatives, humanists, scholars of esotericism, philosophers, artists, and the AI curious. Contemporary AI is truly a strange and liminal space — and effective use of AI relies more on self-knowledge than technical knowledge. You will learn a lot and get connected with other interesting people at the intersection of Amsterdam's AI and humanities scene.

A fifteen-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Prefer public transport? Take trams 13 or 17, or bus 170, 172, or 174 to the Westermarkt stop. From there, walk back a short distance, turn left onto Keizersgracht, and you will find us on your right after 300 meters.
Amsterdam is best explored on two wheels, and the EFM is no exception. Ample bike parking is available along the Keizersgracht.
Parking in the area is paid (~ €8,05 per hour), and spaces can be difficult to find. The nearest parking garages are Q-park Nieuwendijk at Nieuwezijds Kolk 18 (650 meters), Q-park Bijenkorf at Beursstraat 15 (950 meters), and Q-park Europarking at Marnixstraat 250 (1,300 meters).
